Do you know how it works? First of all, you discover a name in a text that you would like to search using XING.
Then just highlight the name, copy it to the clipboard and then paste it in the search field on the XING website. Unfortunately, XING isn’t currently an active open site so you need to open the site before being able to do anything. At worst, the browser will also need to be started. All these little actions will steal attention and take time. The Click.to app greatly simplifies these tasks as whenever you select a text such as a name, Click.to shows the matching quick-launch icons next to the text passage. From there, just clicking on the XING icon is enough to start a XING search. Google, Wikipedia, etc. are all searchable in the same way with just one click. In addition, the text can be sent as an email, published on Facebook, or kept as a note in Evernote: actions that would normally require up to a dozen clicks each!
The secret of Click.to is its coupling to the clipboard: If something is copied, then the action icons open automatically. Whether you are on a browser, a Word document, an email or a PDF, Click.to is ready for you! Click.to doesn’t just work with text, it will work with everything you can copy to your clipboard such as files, images, emails and HTML. Depending on the type of data, Click.to will offer the appropriate action icons. So you can upload pictures and screenshot files to Dropbox or Box, for example, while MS Paint is also available. But that is not enough: Click.to is customizable as you can instantly add your favorite applications and websites.
If you frequently search on XING or Google, or you frequently send text and pictures via email, then Click.to will save you a lot of unnecessary distractions by being able to skip the clicking routine.
Click.to is free and available for Windows with a Mac version coming soon. Save time, clicks and unnecessary distractions thanks to Click.to.
