Hello there!  By way of introduction I’m Jason Goldberg and I’m the new Chief Product Officer here at XING.  What does that mean?  Well, in short it means that I’m responsible for gathering feedback from XING’s users and translating that into great products and enhancements that meet your needs. In other words, my team runs the “give them what they want” department here at XING – and there’s nothing cooler than that!

Prior to joining XING I founded a company called socialmedian which enables people to get the news filtered by their networks.  One of the things I’m most proud of about socialmedian is the way that we built it based on direct input from our users. Every day we gathered user feedback as to what we could do better.  Our model was to ship early and often and then gather feedback, and repeat, repeat, repeat. (more…)

Today we published our detailed results for the past financial year. 2008 was an extremely successful 12 months for us – a year which saw our revenues increase by 80% to 35 million euros ($48.5 million), generating a profit in excess of 7 million euros ($9.7 million). This is something the whole team here at XING can be extremely proud of! For all details please refer to the full press release and our 2008 Annual Report – also have a look at Reuters reporting about us.

I’ve been at XING for a good two months now. The busy last few weeks have flown by and I have had the opportunity to gain a much deeper insight into the factors that make XING so successful. I have spent most of this time getting to know my colleagues, talking directly to members, immersing myself in all aspects of our business and setting out clear areas of focus for the upcoming quarters together with my team. (more…)

I am in my 4th week at XING now, getting into the subjects and enjoying the spirit here. I am Senior Product Manager and will take care of some features and functions at XING now – like the exciting enhancement of the events feature.

A bit on my background: I studied in Lüneburg, Aix-en-Provence and Istanbul. First, I worked for a PR agency for the Official Cultural Program to the Football World Cup, then I changed to Eventim (European market leader in ticketing) where I occupied several positions during the last years, at last Head of product management web shop. (more…)

Our professional network grows week for week, and we’re not just talking about new members here. Our team of developers is constantly working in the background on new technologies and interfaces, interface optimizations and database adaptations. They spend their time each and every day working on everything from detailed enhancements through to major changes and product innovations. Technical updates are introduced at XING on a weekly basis.
