I am in USA for some days visiting companies and TED.  It is so much fun driving trough silicn valley and see so much free advertising.

Hopefully the local authorities do not claim that your new name was their IPR for a long time and drag you into some of these not neccesarily funny juries in an US court :-)

On the same note I remember XING as early video streaming and compression technology vendor – true veterans of internet video – finally bought by Real Networks.

It would in both cases be a pity to see you and this community suffer from being hit by those folks in the US who live of figuring out innovative legal ways to extract money out of their brothers and sisters (or more correctly: of ANYbody who looks like a valuable enough target)…

All the best !

I have always been wondering if the choice of “Xing” name was a reference to these “crossing” marks on US roads. Apparently, this is not the right hypothesis. Do you confirm this ?
