Apart from finance, working hours and working conditions, topics like health and threateningly signals are covered. By the way “difficult clients”, “missing personal recognition” and “repressing true feelings” seem to have a big impact on the quality of a freelancer´s life.

We know that XING.com professionally it will be of an advantage to all freelancer. XING is a unique people search. Find deals, employees, colleagues, decision makers fast and open doors to thousands of companies. Attention: that was a bit self promotion.

Daniela, thanks very much for linking to this survey.

Would it be possible to link to my article (http://www.fob-marketing.de/marketing-blog-170-freelancer-studie-der-universitaet-hamburg.html) instead of the PDF document? Would be better for my server loads. ;-)

Thanks and best regards
Oliver

Hi Daniela,

Interesting that you mention the survey of the University of Hamburg – as a freelancer I have participated in it. And I am glad that XING promotes the interests of freelancers.

Kind regards
Heidi

Heidi, the results of the survery is more than interesting to read and great that you gave input! It´s actually very rare getting deeply and honest insights in working conditions.

I am still reflecting the survey.

Indeed as a starting freelancer i feel a larger impact in getting nervous; But you may not forget how many employees get ill because they see no possiblity for improve in career or money.

many points listed are valid for an employee too.

Sure it’s a difference – as a freelancer you take the whole risk but on the other site this is a chance;

Hi again,
one thing i want to mention is what gives me stability is my increased draw to god.

Strange it sounds : more independency brings more dependency
