Daniela Hinrichs

Paris Bar

Daniela Hinrichs on 10.12.2006 at 11:24 h

I am on my way to Le Web 3. The program sounds not too boring and I am curious to see who else will make it to the capital of baguettes and Gauloises rauche. Alex already sent around a "let´s meet on sunday"-message. The funny thing is that none of us speaks french and we all are hoping getting there in time...Loic somehow was quite relieved that 55% participants are non French.

Let´s meet in Paris :)

Daniela, a couple of years ago I spend my 10-hours nightflight to Réunion with a book called "French for Dummies". Believe me, as an absolute non-French-speaker I had some marvelous instant conversations there with the locals and French tourists ;)

Enjoy Paris!

Hallo Frau Hinrichs,

do not panic most of the persons living and working in Paris are able to communicate in English.

Enjoy your stay in Paris and make good connections at LeWeb3.

BTW, you are not on the official list of attendees ;-)

Best,

Cem, I wish you could have read your lessons learned much ealier. At Paris airport I already had my first verbal "accident" ;-)

Paris was ok. The internet was crappy and some panels really boring. Which had nothing to do with the conference as such and the organisers but with the people on stage who (mostly/very often/sometimes)only held their company pitch ... and missed the topic ... and the attention of the audience.

It was a challenge meeting the right people, since nearly 1.000 people joined Le Web. Finally meeting the German community there was a kind of a relief and I had great conversations.

Daniela, I hope the crowd will meet in Munich at the DLD07. I'll be there ... ;)

Did you mean Gauloises ROUGES ? :-)
