Businessweek was looking for the Best of the Web 2006 – category “social networking”. To make a long story short, here you can see what happend after I wrote this. And honestly, I probably was the most skeptical person, when I noticed that only American companies have been nominated.

Things are changing and hey: openBC/XING got the most multiple write-ins! Awesome :)

I’m eager to use your new site when it launches. I trust that Xing is built to incorporate video clips.

I can’t imagine a social networking site without video. Hopefully you have learned from the success of MySpace and YouTube, and can translate that experience into the business networking realm.

FYI, I have produced short 2-minute video clip samples, which are available on my corporate website. Each clip was created using stock video footage and free software from Microsoft and Sony.

Very cool! XING. Big fan. Keep me posted and let me know if any high end design/flash is needed.

David, we definitely will implement new features after we have launched successfully – but not at the same time.
