For non-members, openBC newbies and everyone else who likes to get a general idea of what openBC has to offer, the new Guided Tour might just be the right thing. If you are logged out and go to the openBC homepage you’ll find the Guided Tour in the middle of the page as usual. Looks the same on the outside, but is completely new on the inside. The flash-tour has been replaced by a HTML-tour that allows you to browse through the pages, a navigation on the left hand side helps you to find the information that is relevant for you. Screenshots illustrate the functions and benefits being explained. The good thing about it: The new static variant of the tour enables us to easily adapt to new functions and features on the platform.

Hi,
I have a questino regarding the OpenBC (or aproposal for a future enhancement of the OpenBC). Is there a possibility to use OpenBC for more than one language? Currently I am using the OpenBC in German. This means my contact page is in German. Therefore my international contacts who do not understand German will not be interested in my German contact page. I think it would be a good enhancement of the OpenBC, if you could have have more than one contact page (which will often be in your mother language), but also contact pages for other languages you choose. Thus you would be able to collect contacts through the world not only in your main language, but also in other languages.
Hi Matthias,
thank you very much for your comment. You are absolutely right, that is why we offer openBC in 16 languages. People like to communicate in their own language first; if they have to, they switch to their second language, which is English in most cases. Actually one should have 16 contact pages in order not to exclude anybody. But what about the translations? We’ll give it a second thought – promise.
Are there any news? I had to make now a second profile in english, because some of my contacts don’t speak german. I wonder how many openBC users have more profiles…
apart from that i am very happy with openBC. keep up the great work, thank you! chris
