I would like to emphasize that the seasons greatings `Boas Festas e Feliz Ano Novo´ is in Portuguese and not Brazilian. As far as I know Brazilian is not a language.

If the title to your article sir is going to be “Merry Christmas” then please be a good sport and follow up with the english pronunciation which is “Merry Christmas”….. Not “Merry X-mas”. No other language seems to have this abbreviated version, only english.

I have been for quite a while away from Germany to Japan now. Maybe I couldn’t catch up with the lateast spelling refoms in ‘Good Old Germany’ – it seems to become more complicated from now on. Please let us know your thoughts when you used ‘oe’ for Froehliche and the ‘ü’ for glückliches?
Kindly teach us the latest German spelling reforms! Appreciated.
