One of my passions is transforming situations for people in a philanthropic way and I have been a supported of The Hunger Project for many years so it is great to see some of our openBC community forming a foundation Trestle Group Foundation that has similarly aligned goals.

The eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) – which range from halving extreme poverty to halting the spread of HIV/AIDS and providing universal primary education, all by the target date of 2015 – form a blueprint agreed to by all the world’s countries and all the world’s leading development institutions. I agree with you and coincidently The Hunger Project’s epicentre strategy is one of the few NGO strategies that is actually mentioned in the MDG papers.
